Sophie Harman (Queen Mary University of London) will discuss how she turned her research into an award-winning short film called Pili. Professor Harman’s research focuses on global health, with a particular interest in African Agency, film and visual methods, and gender politics. Her recent book, Sick of It: the Global Fight for Women's Health, was published in July 2024 by Virago/Little Brown. 

This talk will take place from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM (Eastern Time), via Zoom.
